The ABC of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan is an 8 p. history of the Ku Klux Klan, with excerpts of its constitution on the cover, written and copyrighted 1917 by its Imperial Wizard, William Joseph Simmons. Americans, take heed! is a 4 p. pamphlet reprint of Herbert Kaufman's signed editorial feature in April 1920 issue of McClure's Magazine. Also included is an undated card outlining to women the importance of the KKK.

The Ku Klux Klan was formally incorporated under the laws of the state of Georgia on Dec. 4, 1915. The incorporated organization is a continuance of the earlier post Civil War Reconstruction Era unincorporated Ku Klux Klan and of the Knights of the White Camellia.
